About Billie - 1.5 Year Old Maltese (On Trial)
Meet Billie, the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. He is the most adorable and loving pup when given the chance with the best nature!
Billie is a bit different however, Billie was born with a neurological condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. This means that Billies cerebellum of the brain didn’t develop properly. The cerebellum controls fine motor skills, balance, and coordination. This means that Billie is wobbly on his feet and can often fall over and slip, especially on hard floors. Billie is not in any pain what so ever and can live a happy full life just as any other dog. Billie is just a bit quirky!
His favourite thing to do is to snuggle on the lounge or bed (which he has to be picked up on to and put back down from) and loves pats, he will let you know if your not giving him the attention he needs!
He can be very nervous however when going to be picked up and may scare a bit especially with people he is unfamiliar with. But all Billie needs is patience and time to warm up to be the happiest pup! He also loves to lay down and snuggle with his fur sister, and loves playing with her like any other dog!
Billie has a hard time on slippery floors, so a carpeted house would be ideal for him to get around. Billie cannot use a doggie door as he can’t balance enough to get through it so must be let out, therefore he may benefit from having someone home more often than not.
Billies perfect home would include another doggy sibling, preferably not too much bigger than him, and must be tolerable! He doesn’t mind sleeping on his bed on the floor or on the bed with his foster mum!

Billies adoption fee is $800 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
