About Mike
Beautiful Mike is on the lookout for a forever home after his family have had some life changing circumstances. His family only want the best for Mike and have made the very hard decision to rehome him.
Mike’s owners write:-
It is with a heavy heart we are needing to find our beloved Mike a new home. Some very unfortunate family circumstances are requiring us to downsize homes. Mike is a wonderful dog, but our situation will force him into a scenario that isn't fair to him.
Mike is an active Border Collie x Kelpie who loves to run and play. He is extremely intelligent, fast, hard-working and very loving. It's hard to find him without a ball in his mouth...
We adopted Mike at 8 weeks from Wally's Dog Rescue in early 2019 and he has been a joy to have around ever since then.
Lately our family circumstances have caused a lot of disruption at home and Mike has struggled to adjust. He is still extremely loving and kind, but at times has forced his way out of our yard and we are concerned for his safety. He loves playing in the yard but our forced move will take away that freedom for him. We are now in a situation where we will be away from home, often for long periods of time and we cannot leave him in such a small space. We are looking to re-home Mike to give him the best chance of living the open and active life he should be living.
Mike is desexed, up to date with his vaccination and regularly flea'd and wormed on a monthly basis. We give him dental care daily and feed him a good diet. He is short-haired, lean and has the most beautiful eyes.
If you are interested in offering Mike a home and want to know more, please reach out.
Thanks
Adoption details
***Our aim is to find the best homes for our dogs and pups, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest***
If you could answer the following questions and provide as much information about your family, work, home life so we can best match up these pooches to the right family. Thanks so much.
* Current pets? If so, details.
* Children? If so, details
* Rent or own your home? Written agreement is required by your landlord/real estate for rental properties outlining that dogs are allowed. Our dogs and pups will only be adopted to homes where they are allowed inside to be part of the family. Real Estate approvals must state that this is permitted.
* Opportunities for socialization outside the home? Whilst some of our dogs are best in only dog homes, most of our dogs have been provided with lots of socialisation and will need this to be ongoing.
* Work commitments? How long will the dog be on their own?
* Why do you think this breed will be suitable for you? Breed type experienced owners will generally be given priority.
* Will you allow this pooch to live both inside and outside as part of the family?
* Yard check will be done to confirm you have a fully fenced secure yard and adequate shelter when the dog or pup is outdoors.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family. He/she will be desexed,1st and 2nd vaccination, microchiped, wormed and flea treated regularly and a health check done by our vet .
