I've been adopted!
About Neo - 11 Week Old Border Collie X (On Trial)
Hi there! I’m Neo, a Border-Rottie boy, I am part Border Collie and part Rottweiler.
I am beautiful, intelligent, charming and I love my people. I’m looking for my perfect family. You see, these nice foster people are giving me all the love but I really want my own family.
I will be a large and active dog when fully grown due to my breed and will need stimulation, training and daily exercise to thrive. I am currently living with little kids, cats a tiny little doggy and lots of movement and activity.
I don’t mind any of the noise and activity and I am content to chew my toys or play and cuddle.
I am very good in my crate at night and learning that the yard is a great place to toilet. I respond well to treats and have great focus and developing recall by the day.
I love my fur sibling and look to her for reassurance sometimes so if you’re a one doggo family please be kind and let me be near you while I adjust.
If you already have a doggy I’d love to meet them to make sure we get on. I’m a good boy and I promise I will be the best friend you’ve ever had.
My desexing and vaccinations are covered by DRN but I will need to see one of their vets so if you are out of the Central Coast/Newcastle area that’s ok, but you’ll need to consider this when applying.
Neo will need a yard with secure fencing. Please no court yards, wire fencing etc. Puppies are a 15 + year commitment and need to be treated as a permanent member of the family for their whole life, please consider this when applying.
To register your interest in adopting Neo you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au or www.petrescue.com.au
Neo is in foster care in the Gosford, NSW area. They are not currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $700.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.
This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
