Willow - 11 Week Old Border Collie (On Trial)

Willow loves spending her day playing with her foster sisters, running around the backyard, and cuddling with her foster carers and giving pup kisses of a night. Willow is an active pup but enjoys lounging around through the day with regular naps in the sun. She is very gentle and loves getting endless pats.

She loves her food and is responding very well to basic training. Willow is cuteness overload with the kindest eyes which are unmatched although is a typical pup and curious I'm having a tug on anything that looks interesting and jumping up for human attention. A commitment to on-going training is essential to give her the best opportunity to grow into a well-mannered member of the family.

Willow will grow to be a medium sized dog. Due to her breeding, she would benefit from being adopted by a family who has previous experience or knowledge of working breeds and understands the daily physical and mental demands of these breeds.

Willow is learning the basics of toilet training and is starting to develop the appropriate habits and is excelling quickly. She currently sleeps in a crate overnight and is happy to do so with a comfy bed and water access, she signals when she is needing to go outside. Willow will need to be welcomed into the home when the family is home for love and attention and access to sleep inside while she is young.

- A meet and greet with any potential four legged siblings would be necessary
- Will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when she is approximately 5/6 months old & her second vaccination in 4 weeks

Due to needing to be returned to a DRN Approved Vet, please NO out of area applicants. Willow will need a yard with secure fencing. Please no court yards, wire fencing etc. Puppies are a 15 + year commitment and need to be treated as a permanent member of the family for their whole life, please consider this when applying.

Willow is in foster care in the Newcastle, NSW area. They are not currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $700.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
