Missouri is a gorgeous girl who loves nothing more than a cuddle and hearing the words ‘good girl!’. Due to her not-so-smooth start to life, she is still quite timid when introduced to new humans or pets, but once she warms to you the affection and tail wags are endless.

During her time in care, Missouri has come out of her shell and is finally learning what it means to be a puppy – chasing a ball and playing with her toys – two things she was far too nervous to do during her first few days in care (beware… she is a bit of a sock monster!). Her favourite place to be is in the kitchen while you are cooking, cleaning up any crumb that makes it to the floor! Although she loves human attention, she has also coped well when left alone for short periods, and soundly sleeps by herself either in her crate or in a separate room of a night – without a peep!

She is currently in care with 2 young resident cats with whom she will constantly try to initiate play, though she does not yet recognise the cues from one of them who rarely wants to play with her.

Missouri has already mastered the ‘sit’ command, and is currently working on ‘wait’, ‘down’ and ‘gentle’. She will need some ongoing training on lead – as she does find leads quite scary. Missouri seems to have a lot to say when she sees other dogs, though this soon turns into fear and therefore slow introductions with any resident dog/s will be required.
