Rupert came in as a stray and it's clear he hasn't had the best life, so it's so amazing to see that he doesn't have a bad bone in his body and he is a sure favorite with all the staff and volunteers. Despite his size, Rupert thinks is a lap dog! The devotion that he shows to his humans is truly special. Rupert is currently in foster care living with 6 cats, a 5 and a 9 year old child and he shows them nothing but love and respect. Rupert has met many dogs and has been a perfect gentleman, but we think that he deserves his humans to himself, so he would need to be the only dog in the home but he is happy to share a home with cats! Rupert came to the shelter with a skin allergy so it is important that he stays on an allergy diet accompanied with regular cytopoint injections. His ongoing medical needs are non negotiable and keep him feeling like his best self. Rupert just loves being inside and has been learning to transition into an inside/outside lifestyle. Rupert is great on lead and loves his daily walkies. Rupert needs a home where he is a part of the family he just adores being with his humans.
