Profile and needs in a home
Calling all Whippet enthusiasts!!
Boi is an inquisitive 9-month old whippet ready to make his way in the world.
Boi will ideally need a breed experienced home.
In his previous home Boi did not get any socialisation outside the house so over the last few weeks his carer has been taking baby steps to introduce him to the world and he has come ahead in leaps and bounds. Boi still has some way to go however his carer feels that he is ready to start the search for the perfect second-chance home🐕💙
Boi is now reasonably confident outside the house, however his new owner will need to continue to take small steps with him in quieter areas so as not to overwhelm him and undo the progress he has made to date. Boi needs to take a bit of time to become comfortable in new environments but once comfortable is quick to become inquisitive and more comfortable.
Boi would be best suited to a home where his new owners are not away for long periods of time.
A social chap, Boi enjoys meeting other dogs of all breeds and would definitely benefit from having a confident and gentle, playful doggy companion to give him confidence in the outside world and to play, play, play😊
Boi takes food like a gentleman and likes nothing more than playing with his soft toys, so a home where toys are in plentiful supply is a must.
Boi is a determined young whippet who is smart and will take to training quickly. He's already learnt to sit and leave the kitchen on command but will need someone to provide him gentle guidance to learn new skills.
His carer Georgina tells us that he has also learnt to drop pretty reliably now and they are learning touch. Georgina says he is a doggie sauvant compared to her greyhound Noah😂😂
We are looking for adopters who are looking for a dog to truly be part of the family, access inside at all times, daily exercise/games, mental stimulation, commit to consistent force-free training, able to take Boi with them when they can and of course lavish him with lots of love and attention!
As with all our dogs Boi, must have access to inside at all times and be permitted on the furniture for cuddles.
Boi is currently sleeping in his carers bedroom and must be allowed to sleep in the bedroom of his new home, preferably be allowed on the on the bed for cuddles like all self-respecting Whippets.
He loves his toys so a home where he can have a constant toy supply is essential.
If you are looking to adopt an affectionate little dog, Boi is sure to steal your heart with his gentle snoot kisses and adoring gaze.
If you would like to meet Boi please send us as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your location, contact number, your other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Boi would be alone, where he will have access in the home, where Boi would go if you went away and could not take him with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide. We will not be replying to any enquiries that do not send the additional information via email.
