ABOUT
Little Amigo was found by a good Samaritan wandering around by himself and was taken to a vet clinic. As soon as the vet checked him out, she realised that he had micropthalmia (tiny eyes) and didn’t have much vision. He made his way to a BFF carer with other special needs kittens around a similar age. He loves to play with other kittens, and would benefit from being adopted into a home with another young cat or kitten as a companion.
Amigo is a little darling boy, and although he has very little vision, he copes extremely well with every day life. He runs and plays like a normal kitten, he finds his food and water with no issue, he is 100% perfect with his litter tray use. He is able to jump and climb onto the couch, bed and cat tree, the only difference is will get down by climbing down backwards rather than jump down like a sighted cat.
Amigo has zero vision in one eye, and only a small amount of vision in the other eye. Because of this, and also his rocky start to life, he does startle easily with noises and movements. He needs to be approached from the side that he can see from, and slowly, otherwise he will run and hide. He came to BFF as a scardie, and that hasn’t completely left, so he will need a patient and nurturing family, but gosh you will be rewarded 10 fold if you give him all the love. As hes gotten older he’s become a little more confident, and we believe he will continue to grow his confidence as he gets older
Amigo is a very special little boy, and requires a special home full of patience and love, and someone who will allow him to be who he is, and to help him develop into the best cat he can be. Amigo loves friends, and his ideal home would have a young cat or a kitten as a companion for him. If you would like to meet this sweet little boy, please click on the link below
