This gorgeous boy is one of a kind and looking for a very special family to make his own.
Togo was rescued after a month in the pound, at only 12mths he seems to have had no social interaction with humans or other animals. However after arriving in foster care he has really come out of his shell and is turning into the playful happy pup he should have always been.
He is unsure of people at first, although he loves other dogs, especially the resident dog at his foster home (an American staffy) and plays gently as well as with other doggie visitors to the house. A resident dog will help Togo settle in to his new environment but is not essential. Currently learning English commands but also responds to Chinese (Mandarin).
He has quickly learnt toilet training and as long as he has access to the outside shouldn’t have accidents inside anymore. He had had an upset tummy so has been on Hills ID and is gradually transitioning to LifeWise kibble.
He is learning to walk well on a lead, doesn’t pull but bounces from side to side a bit, can be startled by new sights and sounds but is getting so much more relaxed.
Due to his anxiety, Togo will need a very patient, routine-based home that can give him the stability to feel safe and secure. He loves nothing more than being close to you and will happily sit by you while you work from home or cuddle up and keep your feet warm on the couch at night.
As husky’s are notorious escape artists, he will need a very secure yard and access to inside when the family is home.
Togo like all husky’s has an undercoat that sheds seasonally and needs lots of brushing.
Suit part time worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time, he is not destructive and will happily sit outside with shelter from sun or rain if you are not home.
Patience and experience will see Togo come out of his shell.
If you meet Togo’s requirements and have the patience, experience and space for this amazing husky in your life, please apply!
