About Mallee
*In foster care in Petersham, Sydney*
Once the spiciest kitten in his litter Mallee has matured into a confident, sweet, gentle little cat who loves pats and neck scratches with his humans, purring away. While he tolerates being picked up, he will love nothing more than lying on your lap, sleeping beside you on the couch and sleeping on your bed - he will wait for you to wake up before seeking a cuddle.
Mallee still has some kitten energy; he loves to play in the mornings with a ball, chasing with his foster siblings or will play by himself with the fish on the string toy and he has another play spurt again in the evening before bed. The rest of the day he likes to snooze, often on his cat tower or at the door where he can look at the outside world.
His latest interest is watching flushing toilets, it seems he is trying to work out where the water goes.
Like all Maggie's pets, Mallee is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with humans who understand that although I'm on the shy side, I just need a little longer than most to feel safe and warm up to you.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Typical kitten! Despite not being as energetic as my sisters, I do like a good play in the morning followed by a daytime snooze - preferably on the cat tower. I'm great at keeping myself entertained, but I love it when my foster human gets me to chase the fish-on-a-stick toy in the evening before bed :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven’t had the chance to meet any children at this stage, but I reckon I'd like cat-savvy kids who understand that they'll need to be patient with me until I settle in.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love my siblings so much, so I think I'd enjoy having a nice feline friend!
I haven’t met any dogs yet, but a gentle one in my new home will probably be fine.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
