Profile and needs in a home
Roger is a sprightly chap with a very sweet nature. He is a companion dog, and his favourite things in life are tummy tickles and being close to his humans. He’s extremely affectionate, friendly with strangers and good with other dogs. He’s currently living with two greyhounds and a cavoodle (all female) and they took to him instantly.
He even lives with cats in his foster home – he was a little too interested in them at first, but he soon settled down and lives happily alongside them.
He loves to go for a walk and is good on the lead. It is very important that he go to ahome where his daily exercise and outings will continue.
He is house trained however his new home will be a new environment Roger's new family must set him up to succeed with this. Advice can be given if needed.
Everyone who meets him falls in love with him.
He would be equally happy living as the only dog or with others.
He’s good with children too, but wouldn’t take kindly to being picked up without warning, so he would better suited to a home with older kids.
As with all our dogs Roger must have access inside at all times, be permitted on the furniture for cuddles.
Roger is currently sleeping in his carers bedroom and he must be permitted to sleep in the bedroom in his new home
He doesn’t appear to have separation anxiety but he’s happiest when he’s by your side – as close as possible!;) So a home where his people are not away from home for long periods of time would be the best fit for little Roger.
He really is a special soul with so much love to give, and will make the best companion dog.
If you would like to meet Roger please send us as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your location, contact number, your other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Roger would be alone, where he will have access in the home, where Roger would go if you went away and could not take him with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide.
