About Toast - Located in Coburg
Toast is such a sweet and goofy kitten. He is playful, energetic and loves cuddles. Toast was born with a neurological condition called ‘Cerebellar Hypoplasia’ also known as ‘wobbly cat syndrome’. The part of the brain that controls his fine motor skills and coordination (cerebellum), was underdeveloped at birth most likely due to his mother having a virus during pregnancy. As a result, Toast is always going to be a little bit wobbly with his head and un-coordinated with his legs. Toast’s cerebellar hypoplasia condition has been assessed as mild. The good news is that his condition is painless and ‘CH’ cats typically live long, healthy lives.
Toast loves to play rough and tumble games with his brother Egg who also has ‘CH’. They love to chase each other all around the living room at full speed and jump on each other for a wrestle. He loves to chase balls, run through the tunnel a bazillion times and using the cardboard scratcher.
Toast tumbles sometimes, but it never lets that stop him. He runs, climbs, plays, somersaults, falls, and gets up and does it all again. He is able to use the litter tray and eat and drink from a bowl. He’s a little bit clumsier than most cats but he is perfectly happy living his wobbly life.
Toast would love to share a home with his brother Egg but he would also be fine adopted separately. He would settle into any household dynamic and should quickly adjust to other pets. Due to Toast’s ‘CH’ he will need to be an indoor cat with the exception of using a secure cat enclosure or a harness for walks.

Medical notes
Egg and Toast suffer from a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia (also known as Wobbly Kitten Syndrome). Egg and Toast walk a little differently and sometimes loose coordination when running and jumping. This condition happens when part of the brain (the cerebellar) doesn't develop properly whilst they are still inside their mother. Other than a wider gait when they walk this condition is not negatively affecting them in any other way and other than being kept indoor only they require no other special care.
