Winston - 9 Week Old Border Collie X (On Trial)

Winston aka ‘Buddy Winston’ is a 9 week old love bug who loves following his foster family around, belly scratches and wrestling with his sister.

He is one of 5 puppies that came into care with his two sisters at 7 weeks. Winston is a sweet little boy who enjoys the company of all his foster family (2 and 4 legged varieties). Winston is the best friend you could ever ask for!

Winston is a fast learner and is making great progress with toilet training. He loves his food and is responding very well to basic training such as sit and wait. A commitment to on-going training and socialisation is essential to give him the best opportunity to grow into a well-mannered member of the family.

Being a puppy, Winston would benefit from having someone at home more than not. He would also need to have access to both inside and outside throughout the day. He requires a secure backyard to play and release his puppy energy. Winston currently sleeps inside in a crate with his sister at night and would be fine to continue this in his new home. He would also be very happy to sleep in the bedroom and snuggle with his family all night!

Winston will grow to be a medium sized dog. Being an active working breed, Winston needs a forever family who is willing to commit to twice daily walks and one-on-one puppy playtime.

Winston is a very sociable boy and shows interest in both large and small dogs. He is usually the instigator of playtime with his sister (although often comes off second best in the wrestling match). Winston is a very social puppy and would love a fur sister or brother to play with at his forever home. He is currently untested with cats and pocket pets.

As Winston is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5-6 months old.
