About Licorice
Hi, I'm Licorice. I was a stray unfortunately before the team at Waggin Tails stepped in and saved me!
They believed I had only just had babies but it was found that I was hiding a secret to! I had another litter of babies on board.
My foster carers began immediately to spoil me, with the best food possible and lots of comforts! I had several beds and blankets set up everywhere, so I had the luxury of choosing what I thought was best for my babies! I chose none of them, the corner on the carpet was the best choice in my opinion.
I was a very protective mum of my 4 babies, but I got very sick when they were less than a week old and for me to get better, I had to have lots of medication to get back to normal.
Now that I'm desexed, I am becoming a very sweet and affectionate happy girl. I love to talk to my foster mum all day! She says I sound like a bird when I meow!
I do not like being picked up, but I will happily accept a good scratch behind the ears or on the chin! I also am starting to interact with toys, I realised that toys are actually fun! My favourite so far is the laser light.
I love to interact with other cats, and rely on following their leads on what they do. Ideally a home with another cat would suit me best or very dedicated humans who will continue to show me that life with people isn't so bad.
I have met a few dogs, and love to annoy them by chasing their fluffy tails. A home with a cat friendly doggo would work out to!
Kids you say? Whilst I do love the treats and attention I receive from my foster sister here, a home with kids over 8 would work best.
I would love to find a home where I can have safe outside time in an enclosure or with even training and dedication, maybe even leashed walks outside in the backyard!
Medical notes
- Got mastitis when kittens were a week old
