About Pound
🐈⬛ Pound is a playful, brave, and energetic 12 week old kitten. This black domestic shorthair is a purrrfect addition to any family. Pound has hazel eyes and has a charcoal-coloured coat, that is super soft and lovely in a cuddle.
🐾 He has small paws and large ears that prick up when he hears his dinner or a treat being served. Pound is a playful kitten so having lots of toys and a scratching post is a must!
🐱🐶 Pound has been around dogs and cats for his entire life in foster care. He is very friendly and is perfectly ok around other pets. Pound, quickly eased into family life, joining the family for cuddling and pats is one of his favourite pastimes. He is a dream come true in the form of a little kitten!
😻 Pound would be a great addition to any and every household, be it companionship in retirement, living with a couple or being in a busy family with children. His ideal day would be a nap after breakfast, a little time basking in the sun through the window, a bit of exploring or helping you make dinner before ending with a cuddle on the couch watching TV.
Peso is desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and lifetime registered with the council. He is ready to meet his new family!
Is that you?
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
