***PLEASE READ LISTING THOROUGHLY AND ALL THE WAY TO THE END***
G’Day, I’m Ted. It’s a tough time for me at the moment. I am in need of a new home. A forever home with a human to call my very own. People to share adventures with and a warm bed to snuggle into at night.
I don’t mind being home alone so if you work or need to go out and do things without me I will wait patiently for you to return and then relish every minute we spend together.
When we do venture out together I would love to make it known that I am a huge fan of the beach. I love the water and the sand, and as a typical cattle dog, I love to run! I hope whoever finds me loves the beach too.
May I ask a couple of things of my new forever home? I haven’t socialised much with other dogs so a home on my own, just you and me, would be ideal. That is not to say with some training and time I won’t be able to become more comfortable with other dogs! I also am unsure of those mini versions of people…kids, I think they are called. They move too quick for me so perhaps only older kids 12 and above would be best.
I really look forward to meeting you and becoming your life long friend, not to big note myself, but I definitely deserve it.
To register your interest in adopting Ted you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au or www.petrescue.com.au
Ted is in foster care in the Nelson Bay, NSW area. They are currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $500.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.
This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
