About Stanley
Hi, my name is Stanley and I am a 5 year old staghound. My main purpose in life is to receive as many pats and as much love as possible!
I'm a super affectionate boy who would thrive with doggy company, especially if left home alone. A medium to big doggie friend would be excellent, although I don't like overly boisterous dogs. I get along with dogs really well so I'm not fussy who will be my friend. Although, cats are a little scary so a cat free home would be best.
I'm a big fan of sleeping with my hoomans on their bed but don't mind being shuffled around if needs be and will sleep in my own bed when told.
I walk well on the lead and am toilet trained. I can jump in and out of a car but sometimes need a run up to get in! I'm still learning basic commands such as drop and still getting the hang of toys but I'm willing to give anything a try!
I can also be a little particular with my food and prefer to graze rather than have big meals. I really value time with my people and going for as many walks as possible so I will need both every day.
My ideal home is one:
- with a family who can give me lots of love and affection
- that includes a doggy friend
- without cats
- with some space to stretch my legs, some kind of a yard
- without very young children, but kids 4+ would be fine
