About Cleo
************** PLEASE APPLY AT www.gsrv.com.au ****************************
Cleo is 8 months old and is a stunning female German Shepherd who is looking for an active, fun-loving forever family!
Cleo adores everyone she meets; she can’t contain her excitement when meeting new people and will bounce to greet every visitor to her home. Cleo jumps relentlessly and has never had boundaries set or enforced, when she does eventually calm down, she is incredibly affectionate and cuddly, lapping up all the attention she can get!
Cleo has previously attended puppy school and does know her basic commands, however she needs reminding of her manners and still has plenty to learn! Cleo is extremely treat motivated and will sell her soul for some roast chicken, she will pick things up quickly and will enjoy engaging in regular training sessions with her new family. Cleo is looking for an experienced German Shepherd owner that is prepared to work with her long-term, she would highly benefit from attending group obedience classes that utilise positive, reward-based training methods.
Cleo has had very little exposure to the outside world, everything excites her and is overstimulating, she pulls towards everyone and every dog out on a walk and zigzags all over the place. Cleo will need to work on her leash manners and impulse control so that she can learn not to pull and how to enjoy walks without being so erratic. Cleo will need ongoing training and socialisation so that she can build up her confidence.
Cleo currently lives with children, whilst she is ok with older children, she constantly knocks over small kids and can be a little too boisterous when they are around. Cleo is best suited to a home where everyone has experience living with a large, boisterous dog and where everyone is over the age of 8 years old.
Cleo currently lives with two cats and gets along well with them, these cats are confident and are prepared to tell her off and put her in her place, she has grown up with them since she was a small pup. Cleo may be suited to living with another cat in her new home, however introductions and integration would need to be taken very slowly and the ability to separate is a necessity.
Cleo has no experience with other dogs whatsoever, she is very excited and extremely jumpy around them and has no social awareness or doggy manners at all. For now, it would be best for Cleo to be the only dog in her new home so that she can learn how to appropriately interact with other dogs. If given the correct socialisation and training, Cleo may eventually be ok living with another dog.
Cleo is an active little pocket rocket who loves to play and get into mischief. Cleo is looking for a family that can match her energy levels and who will include her on adventures and activities as part of the family. Cleo has a sharp mind and needs to be given plenty of enrichment and stimulation when left alone or she will make her own fun.
Cleo has endless potential and is very keen to learn, if someone is willing to go back to basics with her, she will make an incredible companion, the possibilities are endless for this clever girl.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
