Bowie - 10 Week Old Husky X Kelpie (On Trial)

Bowie, a 10 week old Kelpie x Husky, is a beautiful boy who will bring so much joy to his forever family!

Bowie is an adorable and energetic puppy with lots of love to share. He enjoys cuddles with his family and playing with his fellow puppy friends. He is happiest by his family’s side and makes sure to stick close around the house. Bowie loves exploring the back yard and is getting more adventurous every day.

As well as two other dogs, Bowie is currently in care in a home with guinea pigs, chickens and an indoor cat and he has been calm and uninterested in these animals so far.

Bowie has begun toilet training and is doing well. He knows to sit for his food and is getting better at waiting. Bowie will need a family committed to reinforcing what he has learnt and providing ongoing training. He currently sleeps inside in a crate crying only to be let out to go to the toilet in the mornings.

Bowie will grow into a medium sized dog and would love a medium/large yard to explore and exercise in.

Bowie is in foster care in the Woodrising, NSW area. They are not currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $700.00 and as Bowie is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.

If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
