About Rocket
ROCKET is a delightful young male kelpie with good manners and a heart of gold.
This is what his foster mum has to say about him:
"Rocket's an affectionate, playful boy and is gentle with the children. He's quick and willing to learn and approaches everything with typical Kelpie enthusiasm.
"He gets on well with the other dogs (two females and one male) in our household, but is untested with cats. He was curious about the horses to begin with, but is now just happy to watch them from his side of the fence.
"For such a young Kelpie, Rocket is able to chill and, despite his name, is definitely more calm and placid than some of the young dogs we've fostered.
"He walks well on a lead and his recall is good.
"In summary, he's a well-mannered, gentle boy who loves people, children and dogs."
Rocket would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time and/or there are other dogs for him to play with. He is definitely not suited to life in the backyard and will do best if treated as an integral part of an active and loving family. Prior experience with working dog breeds will be highly regarded.
As always, secure fencing is essential.
Rocket's adoption fee is $650 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
If you are interested in meeting him, please complete the online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and ensure that you include photos of your yard and fencing.
Rocket lives in Warwick, Queensland.
