Meet Mr Chill Mikio!

He may only be a young boy, but he has a naturally relaxed temperament which is to die for. Mikio is a very sweet pup who adores getting pats and being told what a good boy he is. He loves to be close to you and greets people with a big waggy tail. He has also met some children and is good with them as he is an all-round happy fella. Mikio loves to play with his toys and you can’t help but grin when he runs with his big floppy puppy feet. He is relatively confident with new things and is comfortable in new places so is sure to settle into his new home well. Mikio is expected to grow to a large size (around 35-40kg at a guess).

Mikio is currently living with another large dog and has met other dogs while in foster care. He is social with other dogs and confident in their presence. Mikio is happy to make new friends and plays well with other dogs. He will thrive in a home with another friendly dog who can be a good role model for him as he grows up. Mikio will require a moderate amount of exercise and a nice daily walk will keep him healthy and happy throughout his life. He will also need regular playdates with other doggy friends as he loves a good rumble.

While in care, Mikio has begun his basic training. He is already doing well with sit, wait and improving his leash skills. For training he is food motivated and also enjoys his puzzle feeders. As a young pup, his new family needs to be committed to his ongoing training and development. Mikio is crate trained which is where he sleeps overnight and he travels well in the car, albeit with a bit of apprehension. He is also building his independence being left alone but does even better with a doggy pal around.

We are looking for a dog experienced home where Mikio will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He would love a home with another friendly dog to keep him company. Mikio will need a house with a yard rather than a unit, should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm bed to sleep on inside at night. He is fine to live with children who are savvy with large breed dogs and ok to live with dog savvy cats with appropriate guidance. Mikio is such a well-rounded pup who will grow up to be such a wonderful dog and loving family member.
