About Koda
Introducing the gorgeous Koda
Koda is a gorgeous Chocolate Labrador Retriever who is 9 month olds
Koda is also officially the first place winner of the Paw Prints Canine Rescue I am such a happy dog award!
Koda is a lovely young boy who just loves to be around his people – he loves nothing more than playing with his toys, getting attention from his humans, going for a walk, hanging out in the backyard / inside, watching TV or snuggling on the bed with his family
This big boy loves attention and affection almost as much as he loves to go for walks and play with his family.
Koda adores being around kids – however as he’s still young and gets excited, we think either kids over the age of 8 or younger kids that can bounce when accidentally knocked over - he will always apologise and happily give you kisses to say sorry - we are working on this with him, however he is still young and gets excited.
Koda is very sociable with other dogs - young, old, big and small and loves to play with them - loves the company of another dog and this is something we would love to see him have in his furever home.
Koda loves going for a walk on a lead, does require a good walk daily or a play at the dog park (basically an outlet for his energy). Koda is still learning some lead manners and will pull in eagerness to sniff things, he is also an awesome jogging buddy.
Koda is a happy boy and loves to cuddle, play, hang out with his humans but as he's still young he does have a few quirks that he is slowing growing out of (Koda loves to help his foster mums clean up - that's his story and he's sticking to it! - Koda will happily pick up shoes, toys, books, clothes, containers etc that are left lying low enough for him to pick up - he will take them out the backyard and put them in his 'collection pile'.
Koda is a great eater – hasn’t meet a thing he doesn’t like – we are still working on his manners when it comes to self-helping from the kitchen bench and the cats bowl.
Koda is very confident and curious and is just a happy go lucky boy at all times.
Koda is super quick to learn most things – will sit and stay, wait for his food, wait to be invited inside and shakes hands. He is currently learning to retrieve but sometimes it’s more fun to forget!
Koda also loves a good car ride.
Koda is good with cats but does need to be reminded that sometimes they don’t want to play with him or be his friend.
Koda is currently used to sleeping in the house on a dog bed and this is something he would very much like to continue to do. Koda is not a dog that can simply be outside for long periods (8+ hours) of time without human contact.
Koda is just hanging around waiting for his forever home
