About Peanut
Hi, my name’s Peanut and it suits me to a tee! I’m little and it doesn’t take long for me to come out of my shell.
I’ve spent a lot of time as a pet already but am now enjoying foster life with an older greyhound sister. She’s taking great care of me and teaching me the ropes in my new for-now-home!
My wonderful foster carer has been spending loads of time with me and finding out how clever I am!
We now know I am very happy to respond to positive training and I can lay on my bed when asked. I can wait and move back when the door is opened or my human’s dinner is on the table too.
I’m fully toilet trained - although a change of environment when I’m adopted could always be a bit scary and I may have some accidents (no promises from me!) and I can use the doggy door!
New noises in new environments can worry me a bit at first but after just a short time in foster care I’m already totally chilled with the lawn mower, blower vac, whipper snipper, the vacuum, washing machine, noisy fan and air con.
I’ve had a hydro bath and blow dry and managed this pamper session without a flinch or a sound.
More about Peanut:
Peanut is loving life with her foster sister, another greyhound, and would love to have a calm and confident greyhound or larger breed sibling in her forever home.
In the company of another dog she is able to be left for a minimum of two hours and working up to longer periods.
Peanut is a dream on the lead and so far seems ok encountering other dogs (not tested fully though).
Peanut doesn’t display any resource guarding or hoarding but in a home with another dog this can never be a given (sensibility required).
