About Baxter
This handsome man is 4yr old Baxter - staffy/mastiff mix.
Baxter is a very happy, laid back dog who loves his humans both big and small. Great with other dogs and good with cats.
He’s not a jumper, digger, chewer or nuisance barker.
Baxter is food and snack trained and is getting better on lead and recall (has been attending obedience classes to improve his basic commands).
Baxter’s favourite thing is riding in the car with his head out the window watching everything go by. He's a great travel companion.
His big bark and dark features make him a good deterrent for would be intruders. However he's definitely a lover not a fighter. Baxter is submissive with dominant dogs and will avoid confrontation if he can.
Baxter would like a home with an older doggy who is past the rough play (to protect his hips).

ADFC house our dogs with volunteer foster carers in private homes.
They are given basic training and experience life in family situations with dogs, cats, children and various other domestic animals.
We then have an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dog may suit your family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial - $50 deposit. If the dog doesn't fit with your family, they are returned to us and deposit refunded.
To arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs please send us a message.
The committee and carers of ADFC are all volunteers, so please be patient if we don't answer your enquiry straight away.
