About Shayla
Looking for a little dog to join your household? Meet Shayla our ginger fluffball.
Shayla is 14 years young and is on the lookout for a safe, loving home to live out the rest of her days. If you could give this ginger fluffy a loving home to spend her retirement in, she would be SO happy.
Shalya still enjoys her daily walks and having her coat brushed. Shayla will have to be the only pet in the home, as she prefers her human all to herself. Shayla is independent and loves to spend time out in the garden. She is crate trained, so she is happy to sleep in her crate at night. Shayla is a well mannered little girl who will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a small dog.

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: friendsofthepound.com/adoption-apply
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on the cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten. and 15-20 years for a puppy.
