About Comet
Comet came into our care in August 2021, emaciated and frightened.
With lots of love, care and training she has come a long way to becoming the beautiful mare she is today.
She still has some trust issues which can lead her to be hesitant on occasion when being caught, and we have found she is most confident when she lives with another horse or a small herd.
She enjoys positive reinforcement - clicker training which has been effective with teaching her to be more comfortable with the activities that upset her.
Comet needs an experienced home, she does love a good brush and cuddle but requires a patient handler to further her education.
Adoption details
You no longer need to submit an online application to adopt a dog, puppy, cat, kitten or small animal.
Walk-ins are welcome at our Burwood East and Peninsula locations:
Burwood: Opening hours: 10am – 4pm
Peninsula: Opening hours: 10am – 4pm
For our Warrnambool and Wangaratta locations, please call the RSPCA shelters to book an appointment to meet our available animals:
