About Larry
Introducing Larry the Standard Poodle born 11th February 2021.
I'm sure a lot of you have seen the Facebook shenanigans of Larry after he was accidentally let out of his previous home. Larry was incredibly timid and evaded capture for several weeks. While Larry has come leaps & bounds since being with us he can still be a little shy when meeting new people & being in new environments. For this reason we are recommending Larry be adopted to a home that is adults only, or with children over 12yrs.
Larry has become a very affectionate boy who loves to cuddle and bounce around while playing with his toys.
Larry can be selective of his doggy friends. He LOVES Bess the Beagle and a few of our other lovely gals, however when being introduced to another reactive male Larry then started growling at him. If you have existing dogs at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before he is adopted.
**Please note that Larry loves his toys and can become possessive of them when around other animals. If Larry is adopted to a home with another dog he will need to be separated from them while he plays with his toys**
Larry seems very focused on pocket pets, so he is best suited to a home without chickens & rabbits etc.
Larry was extremely scared of cats so we are recommending a home that is cat free.
Larry doesn't show signs of separation anxiety at the facility, however with his flight risk he will need to be kept indoors when being left alone.
Larry is such a loving man and wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Larry, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Larry’s adoption fee is $800, and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Larry is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Larry is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
