This gorgeous cloud of white fluff is Olive the Maremma.

Olive was raised as a working puppy and comes from working parents, and during her short time living away from home she has tried life as a suburban pet and decided that it wasn't for her.

Olive is sweet and shy until she gets to know you, then she turns into a clumsy goofy puppy. Once you are part of her family, she adores you and and her excitable and loving puppy personality shines through. Olive is quickly learning that pats and couch cuddles are fun!

Olive also gets along fabulously with her new doggo friends and appreciates a good game of tug. We would love for her to go with an older dog to learn from and keep her company, as she takes comfort and confidence from her canine mentors.

Olive's weakness is water and it'll be a challenge to keep her out of a dam or puddle. Never fear though as her coat is easy to clean and she doesn't mind a bath.

While in foster, Olive has been sleeping well through the night and her toilet training is coming along fantastically. We've discovered that she loves her food but does not love to share with with her friends!

At the tender age of 12 weeks, Olive is already demonstrating the working livestock guardian tendencies of barking at 'outside happenings' and initially showing some reserved behaviour around strangers. She was exposed to chickens as a baby puppy, so may be a good candidate for a working role with appropriate training.

If you are interested in Olive as a pet and you live on acreage, we require that you have demonstrated livestock guardian dog experience, as Olive will not be a typical pet dog.
