About Reba SUK010354
Reba is a gorgeous girl but will need time to get to know her new family and home. Once comfortable you will see her beautiful and loving personality shine through. Reba would love a home with friendly and confident feline to play with and show her the ropes. She can startle easily so a home without young children or dogs would be perfect.
From her Foster Home –
Reba is confident in so many ways however, she does still get a bit jumpy if someone approaches her with fast movements, so a slower pace is needed to gain her trust. I would say older children would suit her better as young children could be a bit too fast and loud for her.
Being a long-haired girl Reba does need brushing and she does enjoy (except on her tummy) once she feels safe – she even likes her paws to be massaged! And that tail of hers is so amazing.
Reba also prefers to keep all paws on the floor – pickups may come in time.
I am so thrilled with the way Reba has really relaxed during her time with us, she seems content and happy and hopefully once settled in her new home she will continue to flourish.
I love Reba’s affectionate nature and that she so enjoys being around us (humans) as well as playing/napping with our kittens. Reba has the quietest meow – more of a squeak really – maybe that’s why she loves to flop and rub against us humans when she wants attention.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
