About Pepper
A message from Pepper
I am the playful Pepper—a 2-year old girl that is full of energy and love to give. I didn’t race because I didn’t chase the lure during my training. They say I’m one of the lucky ones, but what they don’t know is I’m a clever girl and chose not to chase the lure on purpose! When I first came to Amazing Greys, I was very shy and timid. Thanks to wonderful foster carer and foster siblings, my confidence has grown and I have learned to love and trust humans.
I am happy to share my home with another large breed dog, but am also happy to be your only dog. I still have a lot to learn, so am looking for someone that has the time and patience to help me while I continue to flourish. I absolutely love to have a play and would love to find the perfect family to share my adventures with.
I really like spending my time with my human, so I don’t like being left home alone. I’ll need to go to a home where my human is home more often than not if I am the only dog. Otherwise, I’ll need another dog for company.
About Pepper
Pepper is a very energetic and playful young girl. She will make an amazing part of the family for those with an active lifestyle. Pepper is still working on growing her confidence and will need a family who is willing to continue working on this with her. Pepper is a very smart dog and is eager to learn, so we think she’ll absolutely flourish in the right environment.
Pepper really enjoys being around her foster human and doesn’t enjoy being left at home alone. She would do well as a solo dog if her new family is at home most of the time to keep her company. Otherwise, Pepper will need another medium-large resident dog to keep her company. Having a resident dog-sibling will also help Pepper continue building her confidence and learn good manners in the home.
Pepper is still quite thin and has some insecurities around food, so she will occasionally resource guard her food. If Pepper goes to a home with another dog, she will need to be fed separately until she feels more secure with her food.
Pepper has come such a long way since being in foster care. Her confidence has grown and she has learned to love and trust humans. Pepper still has a lot of learning and growing to do, so she will need a family that is willing to teach her new skills and continue working on her existing skills.
We invite applications from those who can provide Pepper with a loving home and:
• Has NO cats, small animals or pocket pets
• May have a resident medium/large breed dog (pending introductions)
• If Pepper is a solo dog, has humans that are home more often than not
• Has a home with a backyard
• Is an adult-only home
If you think you could be the forever family that Pepper is searching for, please send an email to adopt@amazinggreys.com.au.
