About Timmy
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A family situation where people are home rather than not
- Children over the age of 12
We have fostered the beautiful Timmy for about 2 months now. Timmy is the most affectionate and loving dog we have had to date, this is the original ‘Velcro’ dog! Anywhere you go, Tim will be right there with you, so will never be lonely again!! He is a typically goofball male Grey, inviting himself into anything you do, whether you want him there or not. He has some hilarious habits which have made us laugh every day. He would much rather stand with his head in your lap than anything else. He is perfectly content to hang his head in the crook of your elbow. He is the most chilled lap dog.
Timmy is excellent on lead, he is able to be walked by anyone. He gets along famously with any other dog he has met. He is great in the car, hopping onto the backseat and immediately making himself comfortable. He is also very obedient, eager to learn, listens well and obeys commands such as ‘Out of the Kitchen’, ‘Stay’ (at the gate before exiting), ‘Stand’ (when untangling leash out of legs).
Tim is very friendly and will show you this by jumping up for hugs however he will hop down after a stop hand signal and a firm 'no'. Timmy loves food and will eat anything. He is getting a Big Dog raw patty and 125gms Prime roll twice a day, along with mixed veggies and pasta.
Tim is absolutely delightful to have around and has been an exceptionally easy dog to foster. He has been obedient, loving and is stunning to look at, what is there not to like? He makes sure you fall in love with him!! (And he has ears like radar dishes…love ‘em!)
I feel the best home for Timmy would be with people who are home more than not and would suit a home with children over the age of 12+
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
