PROFILE AND NEEDS IN A HOME
Calling all Jack Russell Terrier/Foxy enthusiasts!!
Maddison is an adorable, goofy girl who has the typical loveable Jack Russell x Foxy personality full of the breeds energy and pazzzazzzz! Maddison may be pocket sized (weighing only about 5 kgs) however she has the biggest heart and spirit all rolled up with a loving personality.
As Maddison is still only young, she still has puppy like qualities/behaviours, so she will need a home committed to her ongoing training and one that is able to set some boundaries using force free-training methods only of course and a home that can provide her with mental stimulation exercises for her brain together with lots of exercise each day. Maddison is super food motivated which makes her training easy.
We are looking for adopters who are looking for a dog to truly be part of the family, access inside, daily adventures and exercise, mental stimulation, consistent force-free training, and of course lots of love and attention!
Maddison is super intelligent and we believe that she maybe suited to an agility/dog sport home as this would give her the stimulation and job that she needs.
A home where adopters are home more often than not is the best fit for Maddison or even better a home where she could go into the office with you if you have to go into the office.
Maddison MUST go with another young, friendly dog that is up running and chasing games and is best in a home with existing dog culture and an abundance of welcoming laps
Maddison walks nicely in a chest harness and lead however like most terrier breeds is easily distracted and will want to investigate other dogs, birds, smelly things or movement in general vicinity. Maddison just loves to say hello to dogs and people on her walks/adventures. She loves car trips and needs a robust travel harness.
As with all our dogs Maddison must always have access inside and out and must be permitted to sleep inside at night and be permitted on the couch and cuddles on the bed in the morning.
Maddison enjoys running, splashing in puddles and edge of rivers, and playing running and chasing games with her current foster siblings so a home where water and running and chasing games can continue would be great.
Not suited to a home with cats.
Would be suited to a home with older children 12 and over provided that they were respectful and kind to animals and the adults could set boundaries and consistency.
If you would like to meet the gorgeous Maddison please provide us as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your location, contact number, your other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Maddison would be alone, where she will have access in the home, where Maddison would go if you went away and could not take her with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide. We will not be replying to any enquiries that do not send the additional information via email.
