About Baxter
Hey there! My name is Baxter and I am a friendly 11 month old kelpie x border collie boy looking for my forever home.
My mum is a working kelpie (cattle) and my dad is a show border collie. This means I am the whole package - smart and good looking, plus with a lovely nature.
I am a typical happy, bouncy, friendly working breed pup. I love hanging out with my humans and, after having a slow introduction, get on well with most dogs. I am also happy to entertain myself, I especially love chewing - toys, sticks, bones and antlers - chomp!
I know how to sit and wait for my dinner. I am still a little bouncy and continue to work on not jumping all over my humans when I get excited. I am always ready for action, especially a car trip, but also have a good chill switch and will happily hang out at your feet or nap in my bed. I also sleep quietly all night in my crate. I am toilet trained, but still working on my loose lead walking, although my recall is pretty good.
I am looking for a family with an active lifestyle that are committed to my ongoing training. Exercise and mental stimulation are a must for me, so I don’t get bored. I have lived with other dogs, and got on well with some but not all of them, so I would be fine with the right doggy pal or as a solo doggo.
If I sound like your new best friend, then apply now!

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
