QLD - Thunder (m/8y) Needs a Foster Carer with View to Adopt

Today I (Dagmar) had the pleasure to meet Mr Thunder in person.
Unfortunately due to the nature of our rescue I hardly ever meet all dogs, so I was thrilled to see this boy.

I could not believe what a sweet heart Thunder is! A very mis-understood boy, but now I know exactly what home we are looking for for him.

Thunder's owners were told by the lady running the puppy school years ago that he will eventually grow out of his dominance over other dogs which of course did not happen. So Thunder grew up to be a big, strong and stunning male dog. On walks he would try to defend his family and it became quickly clear that the lovely lady who owns him could not control him. Unfortunately, he did not receive any further training which meant Thunder spent most of his life at home and was not socialised.

At his age we do not expect him to change much in respect of other animals. So we definitely need to find a place for him with no pets.

Thunder loooooves his toys, the more the better! He will bring them to you, but not for you to take, no - he expects you to chase him! His favourite game. He has so much fun doing this, a big grin is all over his face and his tail does not stop wagging.

I somehow managed to grab a toy from him and the utter disbelieve on his face says it all. What I did not expect from a dog his age was his agility, he literally jumped over my shoulder to get his toy back!

Because he loves his toys so much, we will not place him with little children where he has to compete for toys - and yes, it happens, he does not know the different between theirs and his toys.

Did I mention the many, many kisses he gave? Honestly, he is such a handsome gentleman.

We are looking for someone who can provide Thunder with a large backyard, best semi-rural or rural. He does not ask for much, just someone that loves him and promise - you will be smothered in the softest kisses!
