Hi, I’m Woody!
I’m a small-medium guy looking for a patient and gentle owner who will be able to provide me with the environment I require to live my best life!
I’d prefer a calm and quiet household as I tend to revert to my timid and fearful behaviour in noisy and busy places. Due to my timidity I’d prefer to go home with children who are mature and have been around scared dogs before, just to ensure we are all comfortable. I love going for walks but won’t need anything strenuous. A steady 30 minute walk per day will do me just fine! My new owners will have to teach me how to walk nicely on lead as right now, I’m a bit of a puller.
I love playing with toys, on my own or with my carers. My favourite are plush toys but sometimes they rip easy! If you can find some tough plush toys that would be perfect for me.
I have met other dogs at the facility and right now I do not enjoy their company. I would be okay to walk around other dogs or pass them but we shouldn’t meet face to face. If my new owners want to work on this they may need to consider enrolling us in professional behaviour training to help understand why I behave this way to other dogs.
I haven’t had any training in the past so my new owners will have to commit some time and energy to teaching me new things. I can be very sensitive so I hope my new owners are gentle!
I love sitting on the laps of my carers and receiving pats. I’m a very affectionate boy. My living quarters should be mostly indoors as I can overheat very easily.
If you think we could be best buds, apply below!
