Hi, I’m Jovie.
Whether you’re a first-time dog owner or very experience in dog ownership, I might be perfect for you!
I’m a very easy-going girl with a lot of love to give! I adore all people, and just want to show how much I love you by jumping and licking your face! I would be open to meet children of any age if they don’t mind a bit of jumping up here and there. This can be corrected quite easily with ongoing training at home. Treats are great and I’m very intelligent so training me should be a breeze!
I have met other dogs at the facility, I don't mind them at all so bring them in to meet me if you have any at home.
I’m tall and long-legged so it would be best if I have access to a yard with secure fencing to bound around and play in. I also love going for long walks and walk nicely on lead (most of the time). Bring treats on our walks to be sure I’m more focused on you then our surroundings.
I would suit a part-time worker preferably but am open to being alone for longer periods once I’m settled into a nice routine.
Toys are great! Especially soft ones or ones with squeakies! I hope my new home has plenty to choose from. Not to brag, but I already know sit, and lay down. Now that I’ve got the basics down pat, you could start to teach me other commands too.
If you’d like to come meet me and my wiggly butt, fill out an expression of interest below!
Medical notes
When one of our pets finds a new home, our team then book into the Council's contracted vet for them to be desexed (the next business day typically). We will transport your new furry family member to our vet for desexing in the morning. In the afternoon, you can then collect your furry friend from the vet following their procedure.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
How much does it cost to adopt?
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
