Hey Everyone,
My name’s Tiger. I’m a large, quiet & lovable guy just looking for my new forever thing. In my previous home I’ve been pretty used to getting my own way, if I don’t like the way we’re walking, I’ll freeze and try to change our path. It’s best for me to have a calm, confident and understanding owner that is interested in investing in my future training and socialisation.
I don’t bark a lot and am happy to chill out and keep myself entertained. I can be a strong guy and sometimes I jump up, so it’s best that if you have kids, they’re over 12 years of age.
I have met another dog here at the facility and I was initially unsure, but upon interaction I was quite intense and she got a bit apprehensive of me, continued positive socialisation with other dogs will be the key to ensure I sharpen my manners. For now and whilst I’m learning, it’s best for me to go to a home as the only dog.
I really love toys of any kind! Toys or puzzles would be great stimulation for me. I like treats but they have to be super high value for me to continue to engage.
I’m not a fan of this kennel environment and really enjoy running through the grass and smelling all the cool scents around here. I’d love to be part of the family and enjoy some time inside with my new family, daily exercise is a must for me, and I can sometimes be shy with new people but warm up quickly as long as I can do it at my own pace.
I’m a chilled big dog that’s so excited to meet you, please put in an expression of interest for me below.
Medical notes
When one of our pets finds a new home, our team then book into the Council's contracted vet for them to be desexed (the next business day typically). We will transport your new furry family member to our vet for desexing in the morning. In the afternoon, you can then collect your furry friend from the vet following their procedure.
Adoption details
**All pets' adoption fees are half-price during March**
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
