About Izzy
Hey there, how’s it going? My name is Izzy and I am ready for my forever home
Now you have probably looked at my photos and just been blown away at how cute I am – I mean come on how could you not – I am a Jack Russell Terrier and I am just a baby at 4 months and 3 weeks old.
Now I know ladies don’t like discussing their weight – but I’m okay with it cause at 3.4kgs I think I’m pretty small and light but could still grow a few more kilos who knows!
My foster mum says I’m like a silent ninja when I follow her around the house while she does her thing. I love to sit next to you for pats but I would be even happier if allowed on your lap! I have been known to climb over dogs to get to your lap and a cuddle.
I am really good at doing that hero worshipping puppy dog stare and it normally leads to pats and lap time.
I can often be found napping off somewhere quiet and by myself – nothing better than a good nap.
I have a foster fursibling – a small breed like me, and I love to play and do zoomies and chase each other and then the best part of my day is to snuggle up for a cuddle at nap time. (I call it snuggling my foster sometimes says it’s no acknowledgement of personal space – sometimes I do like to sleep over her / on her).
I would love having another small breed dog to snuggle with on the bed / couch / dog bed – basically anywhere – I want to be their bff.
I love being able to have access to inside and outside and love being able to go out into the garden thru the day and have a good run around I am good with other dogs and love to play with a small dog - I am still learning to play and all that pup stuff so hopefully an older playful dog will become my bigger sister or brother.
While I am a very quiet girl most of the time, I can definitely get my zoomies on and play and play and play and then have a really good nap.
I am a typical lap dog so that means I’m looking for a lap that I can snuggle on and definitely a home with another dog to play with and socialise with.
I wouldn’t enjoy being home alone for 8+ hours a day without humans. My foster mum says I am not a fan of spending time by myself unless I choose too.
I am not tested with cats but should be fine worst case I may chase or bark at them a few times but being so young I can learn.
I am working on my house training and my foster mum says we are about 92% there

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
