About Coconuts
A human was tired of me, we weren't together for too long.
So I taken here to BARC, where I'm loved by all
I wrote this bio to take out a personal ad
And though I'm nobody's poet, I thought it wasn't half bad (as I am a feline)
If you like piña coladas, and not getting caught in the rain.
I'm not much into human foods, I am into any kind of cat food.
If you have another cat, if you have a dog
I'm the cat that you've looked for! As I'm cat-social and get along well with dogs
If you love cuddling up at midnight, in the dunes of your bed
Then I'm the love that you've looked for, write to me and escape!
To book a meet and greet with Coconuts please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
