About Bandit
Bandit is the very definition of loyal. He is extremely devoted to his handler and will do anything for them. Bandit is extremely obedient and responsive to commands. He possesses a high level of basic obedience with an excellent heal, sit, drop, stay and recall. Bandit loves to work for you. He gets a spring in his step as he heels along besides you, happy he knows he is pleasing and doing the right thing by his owner. Currently, he is on a rural property with livestock and his focus will never move to the livestock, it is always for his handler and what he is being asked to do.
The loyalty extends to affection with Bandit. He has a joyful personality and loves a good cuddle with his handler. This affectionate boy always has eyes for his handler and a big smile on his face, often with his long tongue hanging out the side on a hot day. Bandit is social with other dogs and enjoys playing with them.
Bandit takes his job and loyalty a bit too seriously. He is protective of his property/home and his family. Consequently, Bandit is only available to an experienced owner living on property who has the ability to manage him correctly when visitors come to the home. He will need an owner who runs a tight ship and is able to give clear and consistent guidelines. A full handover would be given by his current handler and trainer on how to manage Bandit in his new home. His new home can have livestock and other dogs but should not have children or many visitors.
Bandit will thrive in a quiet rural lifestyle with an owner who understands and has experience with the true nature of a working cattle dog type, and all that comes with that. Someone looking for a devoted companion to follow them around for the daily farm chores will get a lot of joy from Bandit. His eagerness to please is bound to put a smile on your face, no matter the task at hand.
If you feel that Bandit is the dog you have been waiting for then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the next step. Please outline how your lifestyle fits the needs of the dog outlined above.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
