Calling all Shepherd lovers! Toby needs you 😍

This gorgeous 4 year old boy is described as a puppy in a 40kg body, by his family who are reluctantly needing to find him a new home.

Some info from his previous owners: ""He is quite boisterous and gets very excited and is very strong although never jumps on people. He is really good with children, even my young toddler. Sometimes he can be a bit scary to children as he's so big and forgets his size but the most he's do is give them a kiss on the face or accidentally knock them. If you give him the opportunity he will hop on your lap for a cuddle and really loves to be around his humans. Being so large he obviously needs a lot of exercise and loves to chase a ball. He LOVES WATER (shell pools, rivers, lakes, beaches) but hates being sprayed with the hose 😂 He is very hard to walk on a leash and pulls very badly. He knows sit, stay, wait (to eat) and heel when he feels like it - he definitely needs further training. He has mainly lived outside and sleeps in the laundry so needs to be taught some house manners as he gets very excited inside.""

Toby is looking for a home where he's your main man and centre of attention, the only dog in your home.
He has socialised with dogs owner by family members and friends of his owners and he can be social and playful in the right environments but he can be over bearing and needs his interactions with other dogs to be suitably managed.

He is not suited to cats or small pets who run fast!
But he has lived with a tame and friendly galah and the two of them are an odd couple but best mates.

Toby's family have come to realise that they don't have the time to continue with his training, give him adequate exercise and allow him to be the best he can be.
He needs to find a home with a dog-savvy family, preferably who have had similar breeds before and understand that they are the most gorgeous sooky family members but are naturally powerful and intelligent dogs who thrive with lots of mental and physical stimulation.

His adoption fee is $450.
This will include desexing, to be arranged asap at one of our affiliated vets.
He is microchipped and up to date with his vaccinations.
