About Tibby & Tabby
It seems that Tibby & Tabby are separated at the hip, they love each other so much. And that’s not the only reason these two older kittens have to be adopted into the same home. You see Tabby has cerebellar hypoplasia which sounds pretty scary but isn’t. It just means that the part of her brain that controls fine motor skills, balance and co-ordination didn’t develop fully. So when Tabby walks she sways from side to side and sometimes falls over… but this doesn’t stop this little dynamo. She loves to run around SAFE Haven and just like any other kitten she is curious and very cute. She is also super friendly although loud noises can sometimes startle her.
Cats and kittens with this condition are not infectious or in any pain and they adapt really well to the cards they have been dealt. Tabby doesn’t require any ongoing medication and her life expectancy is the same as any other cat, however we would like her to go to a home which has carpeting (to cushion her falls), no under 12’s and no stairs.
This pair must be kept as indoor cats as Tabby has limited capacity to run from danger outside.
Tibby, the tabby with the white bib, is Tabby’s sister and she is the solidity behind Tabby. She is friendly and quite shy but they love playing ball together (see photo). Tabby depends on her and she is her perfect foil.
Adopting Tabby will be very special and so rewarding, if you are interested in chatting about adopting this pair please call us on 0404 753 227.
Cat accessories such as carriers, litter trays, litter scoops, food bowls etc are available for purchase at SAFE Haven with all proceeds going back to pets waiting to find their forever homes. You can help SAFE save lives by becoming a monthly donor or by joining as a member.
If Tibby & Tabby aren’t the cats for you please monitor our website for your perfect match!
