About Chi Chi
Hi there, my name is Chi Chi and I'm your classic beagle. Very smart, and also very stubborn. I will usually know what you want me to do, but I'll only do it if I want to.
My favorite thing is going out into the world. Once I'm outside I am soooo excited. I love to run and will show my absolute excitement vocally (I will say hello to every other dog I see, people I see and then sometimes I’m just such a happy girl I will let the air know I’m out for a run).
My foster mum has said that if I have a good set daily routine of going out for a walk / run this will gradually calm down and not be so happy vocal but it’s something they are working on.
I also love to run but like a typical beagle if you let me off the lead I will do lots of zoomies and spring and only come back to you when I’m ready – but isn’t that part of the beagle charm??
My barking can be embarrassing sometimes to my foster mum but she knows I don’t’ mean anything by it except I’m just so happy!!!
I do eventually calm down my foster mum says that treats and a spray bottle haven’t really worked for her yet, but routine will.
My second favourite thing while out and about is sniffing but I promise it won't hold you up, I can run and sniff at the same time!
Speaking of sniffing I am such a typical beagle – head down nose to the ground and can sniff sometime that I have already sniffed 10 times before.
I am good with other dogs but do again vocally chat to them when I first meet them – some dogs and humans can be put off by this but I promise I’m just wanting to be their friend.
I am currently an only dog at my foster house but I was with another small breed dog at my previous home but that dog was a bit mean to me but other dogs who want to play or just chill with me are great.
Now I know I might sound like a handful but I’m not, I’m just a beagle who loves to be your walking / running partner.
In the house I am the most amazing furbaby
When I’m not outside or trying to play I love to sleep, I love to sleep on the couch or on the bed and it’s even better if you’re there too! I love to snuggle with my humans and I will demand pats and attention from you if you’re nearby.
My foster mum originally had the no dogs on the couch rule but I was pretty insistent and used to it from my previous home but I’m good if you want to put a blanket down I will lie on that.
I have been learning some great manners with food – I love food and my foster mum has had to be mindful of not letting me overeat cause I reckon I could try and eat my bodyweight in food if you let me.
I would like a home where there is someone home more often than not – someone who works from home / doesn’t work / shift worker etc. I love to have the company of my humans. My foster mum says while I don’t have anxiety I do like to be with my humans either inside with them or if they are outside doing stuff. Constant routine and giving me a chance to settle will help with this.
I am toilet trained and happy to use the doggy door.
I am also great with kids and have been raised with them. Kids also make the best cuddle buddies on their bed.
Are you my fur ever home?

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
