NOTE: You are unable to meet Bill until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Bill in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great and they help me adapt to my new home quicker and help build up my confidence, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats, pocket pets or fowl that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with them, so it is recommended that I don't go to a home that has them.
• Due to coming to the shelter as a stray my history with children is unknown. Due to my timid nature in new environments and my very bouncy behaviour once I'm comfortable it's best if I don't go to a home with very young children. Older children who understand that I may be scared at first and who can be involved in my training should be ok.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidentally scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok

My best features:
• Very playful, once I'm comfortable
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I had never walked on a lead before so I need lots of training to learn to enjoy a stroll around the neighbourhood. I am getting better since being at the shelter but I do still get nervous and will drop to the ground. With gentle encouragement I will start to walk again.
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
