Mello was unfortunately discarded by his previous owner. It always upsets us when this happens, but when it happens to the senior dogs, it’s always that bit more heartbreaking.

Mello is a very affectionate boy and when you are sitting at his level he will jump up onto you then instantly roll over onto the floor asking for a belly rub.

Mello is wonderful when he is on a lead. He doesn’t pull and loves to go on a leisurely stroll.
He knows how to sit and shake, and never snatches treats from you. This clever boy has a special skill where he can catch treats mid air.

Mello LOVES playing with the hose!! He gets so excited when he sees it and can’t wait for you to spray him with it. Plush toys are another favourite thing of Mellos. His whole face lights up in excitement when he sees you have one for him.

Other pets: Mello doesn’t have much time for other dogs and their antics in his old age.
He doesn’t mind going on a walk with other dogs and interacting with them while they are on a lead, but in your face dogs can annoy him if they are relentless in wanting to play. We recommend Mello be the only dog in his new home where he can enjoy his retirement years in peace and quiet. Mello absolutely does not like cats.

Type of household: Mello would suit any family. He is such a sweet natured boy who just wants to be your best mate.
