About Amiens
⭐LONG-TERMER ALERT ⭐
💜Free to adopt💜
We have a few kitties in care who have spent most, if not all, of 2022 waiting in foster care.
We're committed to showcasing them and finding homes as soon as possible, so that they don't have to spend 2023 homeless as well.
First cab off the rank is Amiens.
This ginger gem came into care back in April 2022. She came from a property in Wundowie where the rangers trapped more than 20 kitties. We shared lots of pics of them early on and steadily found homes for the majority and now, 8 months later, Amiens is the very last one in our care.
She's a terrified girl, we're not going to beat around the bush.
Still now, she hisses at me anytime I get too close. She tolerates being touched and no longer lashes out at me, but there's certainly no indication she enjoys the contact.
After living a 'wild' life, scrounging for food alongside so many other cats, it's no surprise that Amiens is so unsure of humans. We hope that she can live a life that makes her happy, but she needs a family who don't expect a lot of her.
It's unlikely that she will ever become a smoochy, cuddly, super confident cat.
Hopefully there's a family out there who will welcome Amiens with open arms and no expectations, willing to go at her pace and help her feel safe and loved even if she doesn't provide much indication that she loves you back!
In her dream home, Amiens would get to spend most of the day just snoozin' on a pillow or soft bed or similar. She has low demands and is a quiet and tidy cat.
Amiens is very comfortable around other cats and will happily join a home withnexisting felines; this is our preference as she's never been on her own and will likely feel happiest with company.
Amiens was around 10 months old when she came into care, making her 18 months now. She's been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
She's available to adopt for free, though donations of any amount are always appreciated.
Please message the page or email avonvalley@safe.org.au if you would be willing to offer a home to Amiens.
