About Luna
Meet Luna!
Luna is a 9 month old female Dachshund. This sweet girl came into care end of December and was very nervous and frightened. Since being here at SMART HQ, she has slowly come around with the staff and is letting her sweet little nature show.
Luna will need someone who is patient and willing to give her time to settle into her new home. She will also need someone is happy to work with her when it comes to basic training. She tolerates a collar and lead but wasn't too keen on walking very far when encouraged by staff. She has shown no interest in cats and has been social with a litter mate and another small breed dog in care.
She otherwise is a little nervous around others.
Luna will try to hide away at first but with some time she will come up to you. She just needs to realize that you are her person.
Luna has been desexed, had all three puppy vaccinations, microchipped, worm and flea treated, temperament tested and vet checked.

Medical notes
At the time of desexing, Lunas right side hind dew claw was removed. Luna passed her vet check.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
