About Barney - 2 Year Old Cattle Dog X (On Trial)
Meet Barney, 2yr old cattle mix
Barney is a special guy who falls head over heels for his “person/people”. There is a bit of a catch to this infatuation though – he’s not a fan of others getting too close to his chosen ones.
In saying this, with a proper introduction, we have managed to introduce Barney successfully to quite a few people who he’s accepted so it is very important to follow these steps when new people come to the home.
Barney is a very clever boy who would thrive in a working environment such as a farm. He is super eager to please and extremely food motivated so further training would be very easy. He has great recall, sits, waits, shakes, drops & is toilet trained.
He also LOVES other dogs. He’s currently in care with ranging from small puppies to larger older dogs and gets along well with all of them so a home with at least one other dog is a MUST
Barney is happy to sleep either inside or outside so long as he has canine company.
He currently lives with chicken who he loves to “talk to” whenever his people go in their pen but has showed no signs of trying to get in to them. He is not tested with cats or pocket pets.
Barney has had his vaccinations and is desexed. His flea, tick & worm treatment is up to date
For more information on Barney, please email Beth on drn.beth@gmail.com. He is in foster care in Awaba, NSW, and her adoption fee is $450.
