Twinkie

Twinkie also known as Twinkie Dink and Twinx is an absolute sweetheart, all she wants is cuddles and belly rubs.

Twinx spends a lot of time being a couch potato, she has recently discovered a love for toys and very excitable zoomies.

I can easily say that Twinkie would make the perfect addition to anyone's family.

Twinkie has let many birds into my house without a care in the world, I can positively say she's bird friendly 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Twinkie is a Heeler x we think probably Dalmation of med size weighing 26 kilos so a standard med size

Twinx loves all people big and small, male and female it doesn't matter just give her pats and she will be your best friend. She has a very big soft spot for men and she absolutely adores them.

She loves nothing more than a cuddle and a kiss and she will show you so much love and affectionation in return.

Twinx is still adjusting to everyday life, busy roads can be overwhelming for her, getting into the car isn't her favorite to do, baths are a big what the heck get me out of here, but she does handle it like a trooper. She can be quiet timid, and get scared quiet easily with loud sudden noises. But everyday she becomes more and more confident.

Twinx is outside while we are not home, she can tend to get bored and chew things like her bed if she's left home alone for too long or has a bit of a dog in the backyard. She definitely needs stimulation like her kongs or bones when left alone for long periods.

Favorite things.

Twinx is the biggest fan of a kiss and a cuddle session, she loves to lounge around on the couch or on her bed and she loves her soft teddies and trying to steal the kids toys.

Interactions with humans.

Twinx loves everyone she meets, as long as you give her pats she will be your best friend. She is a very gentle soul.

Obedience and training.

Twinkie is a people pleaser. She absolutely hates being in trouble. She does lack basic training. The only thing I have really worked out she knows is "on your bed" and "stay".

But being such a timid girl if you even raise your voice at her she will automatically submit and lay down.

Animal social skills.

Twinx is good with other dogs, she ignores other dogs barking at her. She hasn't been tested with cats but was fine saying hello to the neighbors horse.

Food.

Twinx eats dry food, she's not a huge fan of human food unless it's cheese, ice-cream or meat. She is not very food motivated.

Independence.

Twinx is fine on her own, I do leave her outside while we are out.

If she is left home alone for to long she can get destructive and chew things like her bed.

Stimulation is needed if she is left home alone for long periods at a time.

Bathing and hygiene.

Twinkie does not enjoy a bath, but she will tolerate it. She doesn't get overly stinky but a bath every now and again is needed.

Sleeping.

Twinkie sleeps inside on the couch or bean bag, usually from 9.30 till 7am.

Exercise.

I only walk Twinkie for about 20-30 mins a day and I always take her the same way. Twinkie does get overwhelmed by busy roads, so we avoid those and stick to quiet walks around the oval.

Twinkie doesn't pull on the lead, she is quite nice to walk, she does like a slow stroll and a sniff. If you're looking for an exercise buddy she is not your girl 😅

Ideal home.

Twinkie thrives off human interaction, she loves having humans around her. She would prefer a home where someone works a short amount of hours a day.

Someone who has time to keep building her confidence, taking her on short walks and car rides.

Twinkie doesn't need another dog, but if you do have one it must be male.

Kids are a added bonus, but she would make a great companion dog as well.

She must be allowed to sleep inside.
