About The Mountain Babies
These 4 beautiful kittens came in as strays and have developed such beautiful personalities. We named them after mountains because of their beauty and their strength.
Everest is a male who is white with one spot on his head. As intrepid as his name suggests Everest is playful, fearless and full of energy. He’ll go go go, until it’s time for a snooze and then he’s happy to have a cuddle.
Denali is a female and the only coloured coat of the bunch! She has a beautiful calico pattern to her fur. Denali is the little princess of the litter. She nearly matches Everest’s playfulness and energy, then after she’s won out from her play session, she’s happy to be scooped up and held upside down like a baby for pats.
Fuji is a white male with 2 spots on his head, and is Mr Chatty! When you come into the room, he will come straight up to tell you what he’s been up to since you left. He’s really cuddly and will happily fall asleep on your lap. Fuji loves to have company and would be best in a house with people who are home a lot, or with another cat for company. He would love to be adopted out with his sister Makalu who is his favourite sister.
Makalu is a white female with a calico spot on her head. A cuddly little girl who also loves human and feline company. Makalu would love to stay with her brother Fuji. She purrs the moment you pick her up and will happily lay in your arms and go to sleep.
All of our cats and kittens at Shelly’s Place are desexed, microchipped, have received their 1st vaccination, are flea/ worm treated and are lifetime registered with the council.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
